Since 1936, Davan have established themselves as the South-West's premier, award-winning main dealer of quality new and pre-owned caravans, motorhomes and awnings. With an enviable history as an industry-recognised leader plus manufacturer relationships secured over many decades, Davan have maintained their status by focussing on customer service and quality brands.
Within this highly competitive, ever-changing leisure vehicle market, Davan recognised that, in order to flourish, they needed to 'move with the times' by continually communicating their brand values to a newer audience demographic that in recent years had widened beyond all expectations.
As their trusted supplier of marketing communications since 2008, Red Thread Creative were selected to make the transition from traditional media platforms to digital and develop an online marketing plan using platforms with activity to reach a fast-growing online audience.
We began the journey by developing a brand new, future-proofed, responsive website, within which all content could be optimised for search engine performance. The goal was to deliver a content-managed website to outperform every competitor dealership within a 100 mile radius. Even with many competitors having a head start, we soon had Davan's website content ranking above their competitors on page 1 of Google. Our expertise with technical and on-page SEO together with daily activity and content updating, ensures that davan.co.uk, repeatedly outperforms competitors on Google.
The next step was the creation of an online shop, providing an Ecommerce platform to harness Google for nationwide sales of awnings and accessories. This has also far-exceeded client expectations, making monthly sales figures that dwarf offline activity.
